Completed in 1997 under the adept guidance of principal architect Anca Petrescu, the building, initially projected to cover 80,000 square meters, expanded fivefold by its completion. Today, it houses the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of Romania, standing as a living chronicle to the nation’s communist epoch and beyond.

As the monumental Palace of Parliament gears up to host the xDay 2023 from 18 to 21 October, a historic saga awaits where the annals of the past meet the innovations of the future.
